Florida’s population has increased by 14% over the last decade. The 2020 Census shows an impressive growth in race and ethnicity diversity along with the population boom, specifically the 4% increase in Hispanic and Latino population.

Surging job opportunities is one of the major factors contributing to the increasing diversity, as Florida’s business-friendly climate continues to lure companies to the state. Florida is home to thousands of tech startups, while employment services, restaurants, and general medial and surgical hospitals remained to be the three largest industries driving employment. Accessible higher education and certificate programs also attract young families of different backgrounds to relocate to the state, connecting talent and businesses with unlimited networking opportunities. Beyond the work environment and education, Florida’s warmer weather and abundant outdoor entertainment further incentivize people around the world to move there.
